Who is eligible to write PMP exam?
Project Managers with 4500 hours of non overlapping project management experience. Candidate should have completed a high school degree or equivalent, performed 7,500 hours in a lead role directing tasks, performed tasks associated with being a Project Manager over a period of 60 months within the past 8 years, and completed 35 hours of education specific to Project Management and aligned with PMI methodologies. Persons possessing a bachelor's degree only require 4,500 hours leading and 36 months of experience. The candidate is also required to pass a test to demonstrate his or her knowledge of Project Management. The test consists of 200 multiple-choice questions.
How can you pass pmp exam on your first try ?
Read the PMBOK atleast 2 times. Take as many practice tests as you can. Once you consisitently score above 80% in most of the practice tests from different sites, you can take the exam.
How can you get 35 contact hours required for PMP ?
You can attend the training provided by PMI approved pmp training centres. Also you can take online training courses or pmprepcast, which gives you the required contact hours.
How can I best use the pmp questions from this site?
The learning preferences are different. But after you read a few chapters in PMBOK, you can start taking these tests. Some of the questions are to test your PMBOK understanding. Some other questions are not straight forward.
Can I leave in between a test and come back and continue after few days?
Yes. You can stop the test and close the browser and continue it any time you want. Also you can choose tests with 10 or 20 questions if you cannot sit and finish the 100 question test.
