Cornelius Fichtner, PMP is the host of The Project Management PrepCast™, the first true PMP® Podcast.
Cornelius worked as a Project Manager in his native Switzerland, in Germany and in the USA for the last 16 years. He received his PMP credential in April 2004. He has led projects for a management consulting company, a national retailer and an internet startup company.
Currently, Cornelius works as a project manager for one of the oldest financial service providers in the USA. His passions are project management methodologies and PMOs.
In addition to hosting your PrepCast™, he is an instructor for the PMP Workshop and the 2007 Chair of his local PMI chapter. He currently lives in Silverado, California, USA with his wife and their two computers

Here is how this works: Two weeks after you purchase The Premium PrepCast™ you will find Episode 99.00 in your podcast list. Check your iTunes and locate it. This episode contains a PDF document with instructions on how to take our "Final Exam". This Final Exam is a 25 question, multiple choice exam. You will need to answer 17 questions correctly in order to pass the exam and print your certificate. You can take the exam several times if you do not pass at first.
When can I take the Final Exam?
The Final Exam is a 25 question, multiple-choice exam that you must pass before you receive our 35 Contact Hour certificate. 2 weeks after you first purchased The Premium PrepCast you will find episode 99.00 in your iTunes that contains instructions:
To read the instructions, simply double-click on the episode.
Remember - this is not an email but an episode in iTunes and you have to wait for 2 weeks until you see it. There is no time limit after these 2 weeks as to when you can take the exam. You can take it after 2 weeks, 2 months or even wait for a year. Also, you can take the final exam as often as you need to pass.
The 2 week period before you receive the instructions is necessary for us to have some assurance that you have listened to all the episodes and that you have achieved the desired training goal. We will not release the information about the final exam to you before the end of these two weeks. It would be against the PMI Code of Ethics.

The prepcast has been a great resource throughout my study. After listening to your dulcet tones over the last few months, I've thought about what you could do better - and there isn't much. The Prepcast is excellent. One comment - I appreciate some of the more lively examples you have used to illustrate your points and I'd say there are some episodes where some more imaginative examples might help to keep the listener's focus keen. Things like "I am thumbing through US$10000 right now and I could give it to you now or later" - when talking about NPV, or "I went with the low cost gutters once I understood the difference in price" - in select sellers. More of these creative examples would enhance some podcasts and help the listener to remember the material. Apart from that little piece of feedback, I'd say you define quality in audio education!

I have used the PM PrepCast daily for the past month, I have to tell you that this tool, in my opinion, is a must for anyone studying for the exam who leads an active life (walking, jogging, biking, swimming… okay, maybe it wouldn’t work so well while swimming) or finds themselves with lots of “dead time” commuting or traveling. I unfortunately spent a few hundred dollars on a PMP Prep DVD collection from a particular company that didn’t even scratch the surface of what I feel I will need to know in preparation to take the exam. Conversely, the PM PrepCast covers the inputs, tools and techniques, and outputs of each process in great detail with easy to understand examples, exam tips, and even suggestions from those who have recently taken the exam on how to best prepare!

I listen to it while I exercise in the evening and I must say that it turned to be very helpful. I like the times when you ask the audience to guess the processes and other things. Those interactions are things that challenge the thinking and make me remain very active.
I will be taking the exam in few months and I do wish that I can listen to all 9 Knowledge Areas and 5 Processes before that so I don't have to read the textbook.
